I am Ar. Barnali Chakraborty. I'm an alumni of this institution & was from the batch of 2013-2018 I'm presently pursuing PHD from IIT Kharagpur as a Prime Minister's Reasearch Fellow. The experiences during the 5 years it has shaped me both at an individual and professional level. Although the learning curve was steep but we got many opportunities to learn from the experts in this field and also participate in interstate events and competitions likes NASA & ZONASA that have definitely helped in definitely our career trajectories. Architecture to me is the scientific art of creating the built environment which in turn shape human experience & cognition. This , as an architect, we are largely responsible for determining societal outcomes aspiring architects and should thus have the enthusiasm to take up these challenges for the greater good.
My five years at GCA(Guwahati College Of Architecture) have been very transformative. During this journey,I attended many events like NASA, ZONASA, seminars,lectures, workshops, competitions and got a chance to interact with students from hundreds of colleges all over the country and of course visited many places of architectural interests. GCA arranged many fun and creative events like wall painting,best out of waste,t-shirt designing,face painting,fashion shows etc.
I am Divyanshu Agarwalla, a 5th year B. Arch student pursuing architecture from Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning (GCAP). My four and a half years of college life in GCAP has been a journey full of new experiences and with each chapter learning something more about the field, people, and life as a whole. I will always cherish the course of time spent in college till the end of days.
After two and a half years of completing architecture today when I sit at my work desk with the sense of belongingness to the institute I cherish those days in the studios, lecture halls, library, Labs and every corner of GCA which were the part of making of an architect. I would consider myself blessed being guided by nationally renowned experts and learned professionals in those days which has made me capable enough to lead a team today.
