Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning is the First Architecture College in Assam and North East Region. The college was started with the mission to produce skilled quality architects, designers & planners to fulfill the shortage in our region. Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning has produced over 550+ architects which is the need of the day.
We groom and prepare our students for the challenges of the Universal world of architecture and are proud of the 100% placement record of our college. Our students are well placed in reputed Firms, Institutions globally in several Government departments while some have set up their own firms highlighting the efficacy of our educational programs. In February, 2024 Nine M. Plan students from our college were appointed to various roles including Specialized Urban Planner, Mid-Level Planner, and Junior Planner. Furthermore, two other architecture students have been appointed as Junior and Assistant Architects within the GMDA which depicts the importance, scarcity and demand of architects especially in our region.
Our students successfully executed a rejuvenation and conversation project for the Silpukhuri and Dighalipukhuri water bodies under the “Mission Amrit Sarovar-Jal Dharohar Sanrakshan’ initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. Additionally, we have undertaken a meaningful social project involving the rejuvenation of Bahari Satra. Our students participate every year in NASA, ZONASA & NOS Plan and secure prestigious awards underscoring our student’s prowess and the quality of education imparted at GCAP.
