COURSE DESCRIPTION
Master of Planning (Urban & Regional Planning) is a course which broadly focuses on acquiring specialized knowledge in Urban and Regional Planning for the development of well structured cities/urban-regions, along with the sustainable management of towns and cities. This program focuses on fostering and understanding of the ways that cities and sites are constructed physically, socially and environmentally.
This is a 2 year (4 semester ) full time post graduation program in Urban and Regional Planning.
The scope for students studying Master of Planning (Urban & Regional Planning) has increased as per the survey done by UNESCO as India will need 3 lakh Town Planners by 2031.
Eligibility For M. Planning (Urban & Regional Planning):
Graduate in Architecture / Civil Engineering / Planning with minimum 55% marks or CGPI 6 out of 10 at graduation from recognized University Or Post graduate in Geography / Economics / Sociology with 55% marks or CGPI 6 out of 10 at Post Graduation from a recognized University. (50% marks for ST/SC candidate) .
